Racing with Us

Races are where all our hard work training pays off! The Harvard Triathlon Team is a registered USA Triathlon Collegiate Team that competes in the Northeast Collegiate Triathlon Conference (NECTC). The collegiate season is in the fall, when races are held in various breathtaking New England destinations. Race weekends are a great opportunity not only to test your fitness against the fastest collegiate triathletes in the Northeast, but also to enjoy the host cities with your fellow Harvard triathletes! For a nominal per-race fee, the team provides transportation and lodging for any Harvard degree-earning candidate who wants to race with us. We'll also handle all of the race day logistics so that you can enjoy your race day and concentrate on performing your best.

  • New England Season Opener, 10 May 2015 (Hopkinton, MA)
    Fast individual legs and overall performances were the themes at the 2015 NE Season Opener at beautiful Hopkinton State Park. Kyle McElroy and Max Meehan led the collegiate men out of the water in 1st and 2nd position, Jamie Potter threw down a blazing bike leg (2nd female), and Emma Quinn and Trevor Lutzow came storming back in the run leg finish in 4th and 5th in the collegiate division, respectively. And finally, a special shout-out to the many first-time racers in our 15-person contingent!

  • NECTC 2013 Season Rankings
    At season's end, we finished 14th overall as a team, a very impressive showing in our first season of racing. Congrats to everyone who raced with us in 2013! Our top three overall NECTC points series finishers were:

  • Westchester Triathlon, 29 September 2013 (Rye, NY)
    The team excelled at the conference championship this weekend, finishing the season off on a high note. The team's top three finishers were:
    Michael Silva: 2:11:54, 16th Place
    Joel Nitta: 2:30:20, 76th Place
    Joseph Brennan: 2:39:26, 92nd Place
  • Buzzard's Bay Triathlon, 22 September 2013 (Buzzard's Bay, MA)
    Overcoming raining conditions, a delayed start, and a triathlon-turned-duathlon, all 14 Harvard racers had great races. Congrats to the several first-timers who raced with us and completed their first triathlon. As a team, we finished 7th overall! The team's top three individual finishers were:

    We had a great turnout at our second race of the season up in beautiful Freeport, Maine. There were many strong finishes. Top three Harvard finishers were:

    At our first race of the season, the Harvard Triathlon Team took the USAT Northeast Collegiate Conference by storm, finishing 9th overall as a team! Top finishers were:

    As a wrap up to a great 2012-2013 school year, 16 racers traveled to Hopkinton to take on the New England Season Opener sprint triathlon. Here are some notable top 5 age group finishes:
